Your data stays on your device.
Everything you record — dog profiles, trial details, daily symptom scores, notes, exposures, treatments, reintroductions and photos — is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. PawTrial has no accounts and no server of its own, and never uploads your dog's health records or photos anywhere.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple and by RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider. They receive purchase information and an anonymous device identifier so your purchase can be recognized and restored. This is never linked to your identity and is not used for tracking.
At launch, the app checks our update service for app updates. That check includes only anonymous technical details (platform, app version and an anonymous install identifier) — never any of your recorded data.
Reports you export (PDF, CSV or JSON) leave the device only when you share them yourself using the share sheet.
No analytics or behavioral tracking, no advertising, no selling of data, and no access to your contacts, location, microphone or health data. Photos you add are re-encoded, which removes hidden metadata such as GPS location.
Camera and photo-library access are requested only at the moment you take or choose a photo. Notification permission is requested only if you enable a reminder. All reminders are local to your device.
You can delete individual records at any time, or remove everything with "Delete all PawTrial data" in Settings. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data. Your App Store subscription is managed by Apple and is unaffected by data deletion.
PawTrial does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
